I was wondering if any Yellowstone owners have had any trouble with removing the poles when the canvas is slightly damp or wet? Also, have you found the front door is too large and cumbersome? We were advised about these "design faults" at a recent Camping Exhibition, I'm very keen to purchase one but as they are a lot of money, it really has to be 100% !

I reckon not a lot of campers have dared to spend so much dosh without many positive reviews! We have now decided on a secondhand Norfolk Lake at £500, well I hope so, if the chap would only come back to me!!
Can't go wrong with a Norfy! We loved ours, couldn't justify £1,200.00 plus for a Yellowstone. We got the tent, footprint, carpet, side extension, kids room and windscreen for £600 second hand, in fantastic condition.
We sold it recently for the same money(we sold our souls...and all that setting up for a folding camper!). £500 is an OK price for the tent if it's in really good condition imo though.
It really is a fantastic tent and apparently Outwell are doing an 'Airbeam-type' Polycotton Falls range next year (explains the hidden poles within the canvas in the 2012 range, so there isn't too much of an aesthetic difference for those who have already spent a fortune this year!). So save your money and go with the Norfy... who knows what 2013 is gonna bring??
Thank you so much for that, I'm so excited now! The owner says it's in excellent condition, been used for 5 weeks total, faded but that's to be expected. Comes with carpet and a Montana 6 front canopy which I could probably sell. Interesting about the Polycotton Falls - I wonder how much they will be!!! Hopefully off to France in the "Norfy" next year, so that will be a good test for it! Cheers.

Hi there we have had a NORFY since 2009 its a great solid tent! one tip from us: the clamps for the horizontal brace poles are rubbish, ours broke first time out I replaced ours with "Dorema" 22MM awning pole clamps they are awesome and much less hassle than the screw type!

Hi, I'm sure it's the same one... The one on Ebay says Basildon, which is in Essex. The one listed on here(free-adds) was listed on 04/09/2012 in Essex.
Can only find one listed on ebay. Hope you get lucky. The Montana Awning is quite expensive to buy on it's own.
We have just bought a yellowstone falls - we found a good deal on an unwrapped but unused one.
We were a bit wary as had heard that putting the poles in was tricky, but much easier in the later season tents that were supplied as Outwell had altered things. We have just pitched it in our garden (just fitted, no guy ropes unless we tie them to the fences!!!!). All I can say is that putting the poles in was relatively easy! And putting the pin into the poles was easy enough for me to do (possibly as both sides have tension adjusters) whereas I simply can not put the 2nd pin in our Minnesota. All in all putting the tent up for the first time ever, without looking at videos/instructions and certainly taking our time still took under an hour. We were really impressed with the ease the tent went up and, despite the pack size, are thinking that it might even be feasible using the tent over a weekend (which we had dismissed in our minds). Obviously this does not answer your question about getting the poles out! But so far we are impressed and glad we spent the extra money. I will post a tent review later.
We went for this one as we love the 3 section arrangement. We were also looking at the Kauai reef, but the lack of zipped in groundsheet in the porch section put us off slightly.
Hope this helps

taken the tent down now (but it was dry) and the poles slid out easily. We had been warned that the poles were difficult to feed through, and can honestly say that it wasn't a problem at all. Hope this helps. We thought the tent set up was fantastic.

Hi everyone and thanks for all your comments and advice - Ribble, thanks for the info on the Yellowstone. I'd like to tell you all that I have bought a secondhand Norfolk Lake and we are so chuffed with it. The sellers helped us to put it up in their garden and it was pretty straightforward and the tent is immaculate, we will not be taking it away this year, but plan a trip early May bank holiday 2013 - personally, I cannot wait!
