A lot of the time instructions are sewn on a label inside the bag and all poles are normally colour coded to the pole sleeve they go in

The Mistral was first produced last century in 1999 and this shows in the somewhat poor instructions. Despite my embarrassment in this historic document you can download a scan of it from this link:
