I am in the market for a new tent having ahd a BL6 I would love a Dutch pyramid tent. We are a family of 4 and was immediately drawn to the Hypercamp Palamos but WE do use camp beds and looking on Obelink website I have seen the Evso Sfyolp 400 and 600. We do use campbeds and need the rooms to to big enough get 4 of them in. With the Evso I would look to get the canopy as well. Does anuone have eiyher of these tents with the plus and minus points of either. We camp mostly abroad and sun shade is a big consideration and is one of the reasons for getting rid of the BL6 as living outside we did noy use the huge space of the BL6.
We cannot stretch to a De waard tent but need to be sure what I am buying as it is a big purchase and hopefully will last us till the kids leave home and then we can go off and enjoy it without them.
Speed of putting up and down is also a consideration as we tend to tour.
Thanks in advance

We've got the Hypercamp Palamos 6. Mr F is over 6ft tall and apart from having to stoop a tad to get under the front porch/entrance the headroom is fine. From most of the photos on this site we thought there would be two separate bedrooms however ours was delivered with a one piece bedroom that has a centre divider. Both sides are plenty big enough for four camp beds, it's a six berth tent after all! The moveable front wall is brilliant, giving the option of extra living space or a shady porch, the latter therefore negating the need to carry an extra awning. As for the putting up and taking down it is manageable single handed, however you'll see from pics the number of guys and pegs it has which take time to set and remove. The Palamos 6 is still half price at £450 from Obelink. We ordered on Thursday evening and it was delivered Monday morning.
Have you thought about buying second hand? De Waard or Randstad tents are just fantastic, and there is a lot of choice if you look at marktplaats (The Dutch ebay). You could go and collect and have a night or two away?

Re: the groundsheet, yes it is a bathtub affair. The porch will comfortably fit a table and four chairs. Have a look at the photos on this very website under the tent review section. We bought the tent without ever having seen one in the flesh after looking at those. There's also a thread on this forum under 'Hypercamp Appreciation Society' that might help you.
There are number of owners of Palamos 6, the big brother of my Escala 4, and I would advise checking out the tent pics in the review section, as some shows the layout of their inner tent with furnitures which should provide some idea about the space.

I am interested in the Evso http://www.esvocampingshop.com/en/tenten-en/pyramid-tents-en/bedouin-en.html
but i wanted one about 3.5m wide rather than the 2.8m wide so i emailed them asking if they planned to make a wider version.
Good news is that they are bringing a 3.4m wide version out end nov... happy days this with vario awning is ideal.

.
I really like the Bedouin except for the lack of inner tent, as I prefer to use one when I camp in the colder months.
I won't be able to pitch the De Waard that I like on my own, however, I should be able to pitch the Bedouin on my own.
Not that I am looking to get another tent to replace my Escala 4, of course!

The colour of the canvas in the picture is misleading. I emailed Esvo to ask if it was blue or black and they replied that it is dark green/army green.
