hi all, can any one tell me the best way to repair our tent.Just back from 4 days on the isle of white and we got hit badly by 60-70mph winds.the gazebo sadly bit the dust but the tent survived with what seems to be quite minor damage....one of the corner pins and nylon strap part(its a frame tent with flexible top rods easiest way i can discribe it)has been pulled off the flysheet/groundsheet part.the fly sheet part is not torn luckily so wanted to just sew/glue/ or something the strap back on or have a shop do it for me properly.any help much appreciated
we are in bournemouth area.

not having any personal knowledge from using this tent is their any chance you could take a picture of the problem and post it ??
from what your saying it sounds like its the strap that holds the ring and pin in place but im a little confused as ive never seen one of theese straps come away.
if it is the ring and pin strap then i would feel confident in my ability to sew it back on if its just the stitching thats come undone, but would prob need to source some thick thread and strong needles (try and avoid using strong fishing line for sewing as in my experience it tends to cut into and rips the fabric under strain, did this once as i had some 15lb line lying arround in the shed it was'nt pretty)
hope you still managed to have some fun while away appart from the wind damage obviously....

yes thats our tent, the ring and pin is the problem, the pole next to the right hand of the girl sat on the rug is the one that has come away, our last three trips have been excessively windy so it maybe been weakened, the last trip was so bad we had to sleep in the car from 3am as i didnt feel it safe enough to be in it with a 10 month old, who slept through the whole damn thing lol

yep one of ours could sleep through anything.....
guees it comes down to how confident you feel repairing yourself or hopefully someone local can recomend somewhere local that can do it professionaly, wouldnt of thought it would be to expensive a job aslong as you can drop/pick up the tent yourself
