The wolf lake is very diferent and no the awning kit will not fit the 2012 model. The awning kit is a large zip in front door and heavy duty groundsheet...

The new bear lake has a panaramic front now, as the new trout lake has.

Wow it sounds like Outwell were listening to my list of 'wants' when they designed the new wolf lakes. Are there any piccies available ?

Did however pick myself up a bargain with my Kauai Reef which satisfied almost all my requirements and was only £700, suspect those wolf lakes will be quite pricey if very beautiful.

I cant make my mind up about the easy pegging system - whats the point ? The Kauai came with some incredibly heavy and strong steel pegs which look really substantial, though obviously not as good as our rock pegs. The easy system looks to be mainly plastic surely these cant be as good ?

The easy pegging system is supposed to be "idiot proof", green to match the guys, black to match the straps, silver to match the corner straps. Ok the pegs are no good in hard or stoney ground but isnt that why some bright spark invented rock pegs

Yeah, but do you really need all these different coloured pegs ? Surely just a set of decent set of steel pegs would do ? Has outwell introduced them to cut weight down ? If i was spending this much on a tent I'd be upset if i was given a load of plastic pegs even if they are all different colours ? Or is this a pointless discussion cos we all use our fav pegs anyway regardless of what is supplied with the tent ??

I can kind of see the point of the easy pegging system for a total novice, but if there's a pegging point stick a peg in it, it's not rocket science. Our montana 6 pegs got replaced with Blue diamond hard ground pegs even before it's first use. Back on topic, yes I would be very tempted by one of these, might be the talk for the wrong reasons amongst some people, but hey that's thier problem.

Dance before the storm and don't look back to where you've been.

If you can keep your head when all around you are losing theirs, you obviously haven't grasped the gravity of the situation.

I don't want it I just need it.

Do outwell Kampa Vango cabanon Karsten and de waard still offer traditional paper catalogues on their current and new tents - does anyone know?
I much prefer a paper catalogue to seeing electronic screen versions as with catalogues I can spread them out on the table to compare models and see several versions at a glance rather than continuously flicking between screens. ( does anyone else feel like I do about this? ) lol

Yes I agree hankakampa paper is much nicer to read than electronic.
If Outwell supplied Delta pegs with their tents people would would only complain and replace them with rock pegs
