Hi all - newbie here. Just purchased a lovely Outwell Explorer for us to do more weekending & take the grandchildren out with us. Really looking forward to it. We already have a Montana 6 but this will be better for short camps.

I purchased 2 of these tents as got a good deal (one also for our son in law) but he has now changed his mind. So I have to put 1 tent in the For Sale adverts. But I do want a front extension for the Explorer. Please let me know if you know of any on offer anywhere (or anyone selling one)

Also does anyone know if an Outwell Universal side extension will fit this tents side entrance. We have one of these already but weather not good for unpacking & putting up.

Hi all - sorry its long time since i got back to you all. Precedence taken by several family birthdays as well as the birth of a new grandchild! Thanks for all of your comments. 

 I have had a good old chat with John the Outwell Guy at the NEC show & he reckons that the nevada is the best bet for a perfect fit as the 2 tents are almost identical (maybe colour & few refinements different). So I have been looking for a good bargain. Also been told that the Gelert horizon 6/8 porch should fit the side & it could be bigger than the outwell universal side extension. It has a fully closeable & removeable front too.  So we should not have any probs.

Thanks again & yes there does seem to be a problem with many camping websites listing kit that is out of stock (and a lot of it never will be in stock again!)

Well have bought the nevada extension. Nothing will fit like an original extension, but as that is not possible we will have to make do. Looked at some possible hi gear & gelert extensions, but they would not fit anything like as well. The reviews I have seen on these were very disappointing due to quality (and also fitting), so decide to go with the quality of outwell!

Hoping for some acceptable weather very soon to test pitch both. Will let you all know how it goes. Fingers crossed
