so I just took the plunge yesterday and ordered a 2012 icarus 600 in surf blue

Idea was to get a canopy later in the year... however...

Started browsing to see what prices they come in at and can I find one to buy online... Can I heck!

Can anyone advise if theres any other surf blue canopys that would fit?

Not sure how the canopy attaches - does it have to be a vango? are there clips on the tent that fit into the canopys clips kind of thing? Or does the canopy simply sit on top of the tents porch?

Really appreciate any advice you may have...

The Blue Icarus tents and canopies etc are now discontinued... As for fitting, the canopy just overlaps the first pole of the tent and then guys down to the side of the tent, yes there are some clips that run up from the floor that attach the canopy to the first pole, they help if it get windy. You will find a canopy that will fit im sure but unless you get the Vango one it wont match or fit that well so you might as well get the green vango canopy unless you find a blue one.

I may end up just going for the green

Vango have advised me that theres some size differences if you try other models - the nearest canopy in surf blue is around 5cm wider on both sides - same height though - my concern is however the zip may not do up evenly - either having spare zip left hanging or not enough...

If anyone else spots a surf blue canopy for the 600 please shout!

looking more n more likely im gonna have to buy a green one and attach it to my blue tent... multi coloured swapshop or what - anyone seen a set up like this?

Does it really matter? purely cosmetic I would have thought?
