Can anyone recommend a tent which must include:4 berth, steel poles and a side porch?

We really like the steel poles, and the porch feature of the Vango Columbia 400 (which we borrowed for camping 2012). The closest tent I found is an Outwell Montana 4. Unfortunately both these tents are discontinued, and are hard to find second hand.

Not sure where you are but there is a Montana 4 for sale on eBay. Collection is from the Lake District.

Thank you, just looked but it's collection only. Cornwall to Cumbria and back is a long drive. But am really tempted.

Once again Thank You for your post, much appreciated.

Hi
The trouble buying the Montana 4 is its probably going to be at least 5 years old and they were never that popular unlike the Montana 6. Personally would look for something a lot newer even if it meant compromising on the small side porch. There are some 2012 kampa tents around at bargain prices

If you're willing to sacrifice not having a full side porch, the Kampa Croyde 4 is a nice 4 berth new for 2013. 17

The Kampa Frinton 4 Classic has been discontinued for 2013 but are still available. You can buy a new one for around £289 which for a polycotton tent is good value.

The other polycotton bargain is the Vango Carrera 400 for £199

Thank you all for your advice.

I'd never heard of Kampa tents before,so thank you for directing us towards them too. I do like the kampa holdall :) what a sensible way to pack.

Do you mean the Handy Harry holdall's? If so, they are handy looking aren't they?
