At what time of year are tents generally cheapest?
When is best time to buy between now and July?
What online retailer is most competitive in terms of price?

tents are usually cheaper at the end of the season, well the new ones are as retailers want to get rid of stock. probaly end july August time

Best time to buy one is probably before you want to camp

As for online have a look at them all as prices do change

Best time is when a retailer decides they have excess stock or a model is to be discontinued this normaly but not always occurs at the end of season but may not apply to the tent you want. With some manufacturers like Kampa you wont get huge discounts unless that model is being discontinued

What I meant was that it isn't always best to wait if you find a tent that suits your needs as, if it is a popular model, it may end up out of stock and popular models tend not to be discounted very much due to their high demand.
Therefore, if you find a tent that suits your needs, I would recommend buying it straight away and use the Internet to find the best deal.
