Thanks a million for those replies, you are all so good to come back with such practical advice.
We had the tent up in the garden for a few days, the kids moved in, cold as it was the days were lovely. Tried to sleep in it one night but we were just too cold!
It was a suntrap during the day however. Granny came to visit to see the new tent and wound up spending the afternoon in the warmth of the porch area reading the newspaper!
Very easy to take down though. We will pitch it again for practise and hopefully get much quicker at it.
