Topic: Coleman Galileo Front Ext on Coastline

I have finally come out of my long winter hibernation to join back in with the wonderful UKCS forums.

My first question of 2013 is whether the new Coleman Galileo (2013) front extension will fit the 2012 Coleman Coastline Deluxe 4.

We bought the only available canopy for the Coastline last year which is good size but being a canopy only is open to the elements.

If the Galileo extension will retro fit the Coastline (I think it is of the type where you pass an apron over the roof of the tent, whereas the Coastline canopy zips on the tent)then this will be a perfect combo.

The coastline 4 Deluxe is 290cm across and 200cm high
The Galileo 4 extension is 260 across and 175/180 high
Galileo 5 extension 325 across and 185 high.

Damn, I've probably answered my own question! perhaps someone knows of another extension that would fit?

If you can advise I would be most grateful.

I have the coastline 6 and the front and side canopy's. The front one is ok when you put a windbreak around it.

Did that last year but when it's raining and the wind is blowing the wrong way it doesn't make it the best usable space.

I would still welcome suggestions for a foul weather enclised porch extension.

Help please.

Good find MissElaineous. I think this must be a brand new product from Coleman as haven't been able to find anything like this previously.

Mine is a 2012 model of the Coastline Deluxe 4 so I reckon this is going to do the job nicely.

Glad to be of assistance. I only found that as I have been searching high and low for a suitable side canopy for a Coleman Weathermaster Plus which is a much harder job, as firstly, it's a discontinued tent, and secondly, there was never a canopy made for it in the first place. It's particular shade of green is not used anymore, and they seem to be making tents taller nowadays.

Just depressed myself.

Picked up the Coleman Coastline enclosed extension from Bristol Camping for £89 yesterday. They were one of only 3 retailers who I could find stocked them (the others being Amazon and Simply Hike)and the cheapest.

Just been on Amazon and they've dropped price to £68.83!

Flaming typical.

Only 3 left so if someone needs one I'd grab one now.

Did you find a full extension for your coastline, as im trying to source one for my daughter, that link above didnt work, so if you found a different extension that fitted the coastline that would be fantastic, please share,
