Hi there.
Just after a bit of help, I've recently purchased a second hand quechua base seconds 4.2 but it has no base sheet/ground sheet,
I know I could jut get a large groundsheet to substitute but the official sheet seals a lot better to the tent, I've looked online for a while but any find any replacements originals,
Does anyone know of anywhere or have any suggestions
Many thanks,
Matt

I have one of these and if for example, I forgot the base, I wouldn't be that annoyed. An ordinary groundsheet would do. Just buy a cheap one, pitch the tent on top and cut to size.

Having said that, Decathlon are known for their excellent customer service so it is worth a phone call to your nearest store. I believe if they can help, they will help.

Another place to try is ebay or free ads, or put an ad up on Gumtree.

i agree with skeenan ( i've a quechua base seconds 4.2 too). moreover, you could find a more thick groundsheet which could be even better than the original.

I bought one and didn't bother getting the groundsheet.

I have the inner (which is also an optional extra) and only use it when I am using the tent for sleeping in (last used like that at a festival).

otherwise I don't see the need for one - if I use it as a kitchen, which I most commonly do, I prefer that crumbs can fall straight to the grass where they usually get hoovered up by my Springer Spaniel anyway.

If I had a muddy site I use a cheap tarp with eyelets, B&M Bargains does one for for a couple of quid that just happens to be the right size.

I buy cheap lightweight tarps off eBay and cut them to size for tent footprints. With this Quechua 4.2 I seem to remember that the groundsheet has "bath tub" walls to it, and Velcro patches that fix inside the flysheet. If you have or know someone who has dressmaking skills, it would be easy to measure the gap in the floor of the tent, cut a piece bigger by 5" all around and then use something like gorilla tape to seal up the corners folded in a way that creates the little wall for the mid section living area. see handy home video which gives a good close up
