Looking for a weekend tent that is reasonably light and easy to pitch, but not too cheap and flimsy. Ideally a vis-a-vis type one with bedrooms each end. I used to see a lot of small tunnel tents like this on campsites but struggling to find one now.
At the moment we have a tent with one large bedroom and it doesn't really work for 4 of us and is also tapered so a bit of a squeeze with all our SIMs in it.
Not a pop-up as it might be needed for motorbike touring. But stand-up room inside is not crucial.
Ideas welcome!

Have a look at the Kampa Minnis4. Cracking little tent, easy to put up and of very good quality, and each bedroom pod should sleep two quite comfortably. It's not really ideal for spending much time in though as the living area is fairly small and would be cramped with four people, also no height for standing up in although you say this doesn't matter. I've had one for three years, used it many times and have been very pleased with it but unfortunately the lack of height has started to give me back problems so I've had to get something a bit taller.

Depending on how you wish to use it a Vango Equinox 450 may suit . It's more like a 3 plus 1 . Not masses of space but we find it ideal for the odd weekend or one night stop over . Quite a good size for on the bike too
+ 1 on the kampa minnis - iv got one in my collection and its a great small vis-vis tent wwith 4000mm h/h and sewn in ground sheet so its warm. easy to put up and sells brand new for around 100.00 ish
theres also a new vango omega out ( i saw it today in Go ) think its the omega 600 - you can stand up in it and its vis-vis style but its around the 250.00 mark.

Thanks for the suggestions.
We tend to roll back the sleeping bags during the day when in a small tent so the whole tent can be used for "living area", but yes the centre of the Kampa is very small.
The Vango equinox 450 looks very nice indeed (should be at that price ) It would be good for 2 or 3 and 4 could fit in for a night or two.
I feel a visit to a tent show coming on...

Equinox looks like ( another ) variation on the Beta/EOS design. Might be worth looking at the Beta/EOS as a result and sleeping two in the pod and 2 outside the pod.
I've definitely read of people using the Beta's living area as sleeping and it's definitely big enough. (I have a Green Bean 350 which is the same design and while out of production still available at £65)
