We are a family of 3 but sometimes have my parents with us. We are looking at purchasing the Vango Maritsa, initially we looked at the 500 but feel this would be too small bedroom space so now we can't decide between the 600 or the 700. Someone on here might be able to answer my query with the 700 do you get charged extra pitch fees due to its size or have you encountered any problems pitching it on a site.

Look forward to reading your comments/suggestions to help make our decision.

Some places do charge extra during peak times for a large tent, alot dont. There is a thread on here somewhere about sites that dont. We have a large tent and havent paid any extra yet. We tend to a oid sites that make silly charges for everything-theres always an alternative. The Maritsa 7 is a fab tent, the space is amazing. The only reason we didnt buy one is because i didnt lke that the bedrooms sloped back, so that you cant stand up in the whole pod-personal choice only. If youve definitely decided on the Maritsa, id go for the 700, just for maximum space :)

We had a Maritsa 700 and never had any problems,never had to pay extra we just always made sure when we booked we told them the size of the tent. Loads of room in them and the attached porch is a great feature.

We have a Maritsa 700 but haven't used it yet. We're booked for 7 nights 1st week of June. We did book the biggest pitch they offered but after seeing this thread I've just emailed to give the dimensions of the tent & make sure it's ok. Will update if any problems.

We love our Maritsa 700 and all the sites we have booked do not have restrictions but I do trawl this site to find a something to suit all the family needs.....

We brought this tent as the kids were getting older and wanted their own pods but even when they decide they are not coming away with us (16&14) anymore we will keep it just for the extra room it provides...The dog can have a pod then!!!

Never had a problem with ours.. just be honest with the sizings when you book.

We've never had a problem or had to pay more - we've got the 700 and love it :)
