Hi,
I have just bought a full awning for my monty 6. To the people that have one, do you use the supplied ground sheet, get something better or not use one at all?
Also does anyone use a foot print under the awning? We use a foot print under the monty and it's a god send.
Cheers, Rich
Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
We have a Montana 6P (2012) and when we use the Front Awning we use supplied groundsheet. We use it as our kitchen/storage area and like to keep as enclosed as we can. We eat in the main living room as there isn’t room in the awning due to the panoramic front for a table and chairs.
Have a Footprint for the main tent but not the Awning as I don’t think it’s necessary. We have the Front Extension as well but don’t use a groundsheet for this either.
Hi,
Thanks for the answer. it's a monty 6. Not P.
Anyone else have any views on this? Thanks.
I put it up today in the garden. The tent is now huge with this on.
Cheers, Rich
From the pictures I have seen most people use supplied groundsheet, a few use the rubber blocks that slot into one another (don't know the name) and a few don't use ground sheet.
I bought a awning for my Montana 6 and used it for the first time a couple of weeks ago .
I bought a foot print for a Oakland m and altered it to fit . It worked for us because we laid the awning bath tub groundsheet on top ,it felt more protected from stones and was nice to walk on.
The big bonus is when we laid the footprints out we knew how much space we needed and when we packed it away the ground sheet was clean For next use :-)
