I bought my 5 m hybrid in October before the price went up. £450 with end of season 50 quid off. I've had a 4m shared with my daughter but with a new beau did not think it wise to continue part ownership. so we bought a 5m. not used it yet due to unseasonal weather Grrrr. but going to bite the bullet and try it out this week Wednesday through to Saturday. now worried reading loads of stuff saying how cold it is. We have a chandelier which I find heated up my smaller rent. someone please reassure me. I've just bought an electric under blanket.

I've got the 5m bell ... and it is a big space to heat. We went away over Halloween last year when it was very frosty but we were fine with an electric heater. We only had 6 amps so had to have it on low. We did top up with a gas heater when we were up and about, but I think you should be fine at this time of year. Having said all that I bought the inner when there was a deal on a while ago. I've yet to use it, but it will be ready for this winter!
I've never used an electric blanket, but I always make sure there's plenty of insulation under me with spare fleeces dotted around!
The 5m is fabulous, wonderful space, I love it. I'm sure you will too.
We used our 5m hybrid over easter and the temperature dropped below 0, even the 2kw heater we took barely had effect on the air temperature but luckily our sleeping bags ensured a warm nights sleep.
I'm in the process of creating a 'stopper' for the top metre of the tent in hope that it will prevent all the heat rising to an unused section of the tent.
This is useful to know as I've bought a 5m bell which I have yet to try out. I'm hoping to keep it for summer weather and use the 4m with the stove in the colder months. Sounds like that should work okay. I'm looking forward to all this extra space in the 5m.
