We have a 7 berth tent for longer breaks but are after a reasonably priced weekend tent for 2 adults, 2 children and have looked at both on the Go Outdoors website. I know that I really need to go and see them up but was wondering if anyone had already compared the 2 and what your verdict was?

Hi. We had a bad expierence with the mojave 5, it leaked everywhere, had to get a replacement which took 8 weeks to arrive. Don't know about the other one.

Have bought the mojave 5 and we are going to be using it tomorrow (tuesday) for 4 nights in aberaeron, there are only going to be the 2 of us. I will post on here my opinion of this tent on my return on saturday!!

I have the Rock 5 and was torn between that and the Mojave.

The Mojave is slightly larger than the Rock, and may be slightly easier to pitch.

I say this as pitching the Rock can be fiddly. The poles seem to always get caught on the eyelets for the guys. The Mojave has shorter sleeves etc, so this problem will not exist. Then again I camp alone, and the pole/sleeve problem lessens if you have assistance when threading.

I decided on the Rock as I wasn't bothered by the slight size difference as a sole camper. Nor was I concerned about the bedroom pods being sewn in and not having the option to remove/attach as needed.

I would go and see them both pitched and decide on which you personally prefer. But I love my Rock 5, despite it's small problem when threading the poles.

I have the mojave and love it. Plenty of room and easy to pitch. Never had any bother with it at alll
