Hi,

My 2012 Bear Lake 6 sprung 4 leaks at symmetrical parts of the tent where the side stabilising poles sleeve is most robust at two places on each side.

There appears to be no fault or stitching defect and the tent performed well in other rainy weather, admittedly not as heavy or as sustained.

To me it seems that the water pools on that sleeve and the passes through the polycotton through saturation where the rest of the tent it runs away beautifully.

What's going on? Will something like fabsil help?

Hi                                                       I don't think that you've anything to worry about, when we first weathered our wolflake 7 the areas around the side stabilising poles were the areas that leaked in rain.                                                                                                             We we're really lucky in that we had a couple of days of really heavy rain and it did seem to take 2-3 heavy soakings before the problem of leaking was cured.                                                                                                            We have not had a drop of rain in since and I'm pretty sure your tent will be fine from now on.

Our 2013 Wolf 7 did the same when it first got rained on.
To be honest, I expected a couple of leaks. It's where the poly cotton material needs to expand to make it waterproof.

If the issue continues, I believe a simple seam sealer can be used along the leaking seam!
