I'm looking to buy a Vango Diablo 600, but I was wondering if anyone knows of a similar layout tent that I could also consider.

We currently have a 4 man tent, and have been looking at the diablo for a while, but I havent seen any others that I like the layout of.

Any advice please.
Thanks in advance

Hi
The Diablo design was popular a few years ago but seemed to fall out of favour being replaced by the tunnel tent design which are much easier to put up and have a much smaller footprint hence fit on smaller pitches. Just about every manufacturer made this design of tent but most have now discontinued them. Dont know if HiGear are still making the Sahara but it might be worth checking on the Go Outdoors website

There are lots of Vango Diablos for sale on eBay and they do still seem very popular and in fact we do own one and thought it was great tho we have since moved onto a poly cotton tent. What I do miss about the Diablo is the attached porch which was great to take off wet coats and boots and we also used it for our kitchen area and then when the sun was out the front all lifted up to create a canopy which I also miss on our airbeam as it doesn't have that facility

It is a large tent and there are lots of pitches that it isn't suitable for, but most camp sites now cater for larger tents and in fact we always pay for a larger pitch as we like the space.

Had a Hartford xl, good tent but a pain to put up and required a larger pitch sometimes.

Go for a tunnel tent

I'm not too keen on the tunnel tents, I like the bedrooms that are separate pods. I'll bear in mind the hartford - but maybe the L model rather than the XL. Only want the 6 man version, so im hoping its not going to take up as much pitch room.

We've only started back camping this year from a 5 year break, we're so out of date!
