I'd like a side extension for my Concorde L but wince when I consider spending £500 - £600 for it.
There are a few of these around now - has anyone else tried an alternative yet? The Vango side extension looks as if it might fit at half the Outwell price, for example. Much smaller wince.
My wife took some serious convincing when discussing the cost of the tent but when she spent the weekend in it she was delighted. It's her birthday next week so I might buy her a side extension.

I'm not sure about the Bear Lake, Jerry - don't have any experience of it. I'll do some digging - thanks for the pointer.

Last weekend saw us enjoying the Concorde in just about as wet and windy weather as you'd experience. The tent performed flawlessly. I took my Makenzie Cabin side extension and set it up alongside the tent with a fair degree of success. I cooked easily, despite the gap: the Concorde has curved sides and the cabin has straight - so there was a the mis fit (approx 10 inches at the widest point). It rained a lot, and some rain blew through the gap, but it wasn't a biggie.
I'm still looking at the Vango Infinity extension...

Thanks, Tynxuk. It's a shame that I couldn't close that front door off (or could I?) - the main purpose is a cooking area that I can keep my youngest away from.
It's a shame that Yeomans don't carry the Outwell side extension - they have 20% off tents at the moment.
I've noticed that the Vango canopy is very similar in height to the Outwell. The Sunncamp spectre 600 looks good too.

You could try and make a vestibule end out of a tarp like the Kampa ones (no green) or if you're ok with using a regular poly awning on your polycotton tent this should work ok:
