Hi, I have just bought a Vango Diablo 600 (length 690cm, width 810cm)for myself and my 3 kids first camping holiday. Whilst looking online to book an electric pitch I see that they only ask for the length of tourer. What is the standard width of pitch? Can you pitch your tent in any direction? Thanks

There isn't a definite answer to that, there's not a standard pitch size unless you're looking at C&CC sites. Some sites let you pitch how you like, others like them all facing the same way. You could do with looking at the reviews on here and trying to find the photo gallery on the campsite's website to look for clues.
Hi
Always best to phone sites first with tent dimensions

I have stayed at sites where I was instructed how to pitch my tent in order to comply with the 6m rule.
Others were more relaxed and I could pitch it whichever direction I wanted as long as it was within the pitch boundary.
As for pitch size, it varies from site to site, therefore it is advisable to ring the site in question to enquire.

We used to have a Vango Diablo 600 and it doesn't fit on all pitches so I would advise contacting the site concerned especially as they don't advertise pitch size. Most sites now have more than one size and can usually accommodate you on a suitable pitch, bear in mind tho that you pay more the bigger the pitch!
