We had our first camping trip with our tent, but found that the design was terrible in wind.
We are now thinking of selling this one as only pitched once and hopefully recouping some money, then invest in a tunnel tent. As all the other tents on site were tunnel tents with the thicker poles and they seemed to stand up to the wind better.
What actually happened with ours is that the curved poles to each end ie one at sleeping end and one at other end, they completely buckled inwards nearly touching the floor! There were no other anchor points to put additional guy ropes on.
However, we loved the massive living space and the extension. The advantages of the extension was the fact that we used it as a separate kitchen without letting cooking smells get into tent and it had a zipped door enabling us to leave everything in it.
I thinnk going forward we would like slightly larger sleeping areas, there is room for a double airbed in both of the pods, but it would be great if one was a little larger to enable a bedside table/getting out of bed space!
Any recommendations?
Must have a separate kitchen area with zipped door/or an extension that can provide this.
There is only 3 of us, but we like the large living area.
No real budget as I will buy second-hand.
Oh and please excuse real mess inside tent, we have just pitched in an absolute downpour and had to hang everything up to dry out!

Try Dutch pyramid canvas tents, as they are often described as "storm" tents due to their sloping sides and large number of pegging points, which make them very stable in stormy weather.
I bought my Hypercamp Escala 4 to replace my Khyam Freelander that was damaged beyond repair in Sep 2011 by the strong winds.
My Escala 4 stood up to the elements last year, and it is quieter in the wind too, just ask my dog who is easily startled by wind noises.
There is a bigger version to the Escala 4, namely the Palamos 6, and there is also the Superieur 6 that does not appear to be listed in the Obelink's UK website, however, it is listed in their Dutch website.
Steel poles are definitely more wind-resistance than fibreglass poles.
