Hi all,

I have a 'old style' Outwell Wolf Lake 7 which I really like - but would dearly love the added luxury of an enclosed front extension.

The new style WL's have just this thing as a standard optional accessory (at a price!) but it isn't compatible with the old style WL7 (so I understand).

So - I was looking for a front extension from another tent that would fit onto my WL7.  Does anybody know of one?

A friend of mine has a Bear Lake 6 and has very sucessfully paired this up with a Outwell Montana Front Awning to create a really great kitchen area.

I have seen pictures of the Outwell Florida 6 front awning and it occurs to me that this might fit on the front of my WL7.  Does anyone have any experience of this?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Kind wishes

Clive

Unfortunately not.

I did come across a large Gelert tent that seems pretty much the same width and height (Gelert Corvus 6)

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Beyond-Gelert-Corvus-Porch-Anthracite/dp/B0055FL7ZM

but - the Outwell Wolf Lake is a smooth arch and the Gelert Corvus is more of a portal frame with corners at the eaves. Looking closely at the images on the website - it seems that the frame of the extension would need to stand directly against the end frame of the WL7. So I don't think they would properly marry together.

We have a Montana extension for a Bear Lake 6 tent - and there is the same issue - square cornered extension and smooth arch tent - but - it works - because, the first frame of the extension is a metre away from the tent. This way the material is able to drape and take up the change in shape.

So - unless I can hear a report from someone who has actually tried with the Gelert extension and made it work I will keep on looking.

Regards

Clive

sorry - never found anything that suited the front of the Wolf lake 7 (and to tell the truth I have not been looking for some time now). I am sure there must be something out there that works but.....it's in the too hard basket at the moment.

Regards
