Our 2 week old Wolf Lake 7 poles have already started to fall apart. They are held together with an elastic cord which allows the poles to be broken down and stored easily.

However, the sharp edges of the pole ends have cat straight through the elastic on one pole and have completely frayed the other ones!

We've Facebooked Outwell and are hoping for a swift reply as we are supposed to be going on our family camping holiday very shortly!

For the price of the Wolf Lake this is very disappointing.

Wow very surprised they haven't used the metal springs or metal cable like you say for the price of a wolfie
Just something else they've done to save money

Actually you should contact the retailer you bought it from as that is who your contract is with not Outwell. Quite a few manufacturers use elastic in their metal poles especially when they form a connected loop. But really its not the end of the world and hardly a difficult or expensive job to replace.

Our Kauai Reef has metal cables and its a cheaper tent than the Wolfie. It is last years model so perhaps this year's reefs have elastic cord too. How annoying when you spend that kind of money you expect better attention to detail

I've just had exactly the same thing happen and was searching the net when your review came up. What did you end up doing?

It happened to one of my wolflake 7 poles once. I ended up taking it to don valley caming in Doncaster and they re lined it for a fiver. It's been replaced now by a go outdoors shop but I'm sure any camping shop should be able to help.

the poles on our vermont have metal wire at the joins and elastic in between you could buy some steel wire and do the same to your poles use the existing elastic and add in the wire.

i would try and get some money back not a replacement as that will just do the same unless they where made wrong.

good luck
