I liked the Soulpad 'shepherd hooks' but 2 for £26 seemed excessive so bought some fence stakes from Wickes for around £3 each maybe not quite the same shape but functions the same I bought some solar lanterns from Sainsburys and they look great.

Ooo, Tynxuk, that's handy to know. I've just bought a Feuerhand paraffin lantern (from Soulpad) and wondered whether to get something to hang it from. Couldn't go wrong at that price!

Talking of hooks and bell tents, have you come across Hooked on Glamping? They sell some interesting hooks and things for the central pole.

I've seen those Shepard hook things in poundland. Probably not as good quality mind.

As for handing stuff off the centre pole, you can do all sorts of things with jubilee clips for next to nothing (including repairing a bend/broken pole which a friend on mine did and rescued someone's holiday).
