I am wondering if its worth purchasing a side extension or canopy for the Outwell Vermont L? Any recommendations of these or ones that are suitable, or even does anyone have one for sale?

Hi Tracey
Think you are the only one that can answer that question. If the tents not big enough then yes it would be worth it we had one but only used it once bit of a pain to put on. The Outwell Montana 6 front extension also fits the front of the Vermont L all that needs doing is to extend the straps for the lower mounting clips as the Vermonts front pole slopes and the Montanas is upright does make a long tent but much easier to put up and keeps rain out of the front door

Everything has been said before, but since nobody ever listens we have to keep going back and saying it all over again and again and again
Agree with above as in what space you need only you can decide. We have the enclosed side awning and we love it. We use it for any 3+ night trips as our kitchen / dining area, rest of tent area for sofa, cupboards and lots of play area for our two toddlers (brilliant when you have a few hours rain, and esp if you camp early or late in the season and tend to be in the tent more). For us the extra space is more a luxury than a necesscity
One down side is the flap that crosses over the top of the tent can be noisy when the wind gets up.
