Does an enclosed Vango Icarus extension come with a ground sheet and does anyone know the floor sizes for carpet?

It comes with a separate groundsheet, so you can have bare grass, if preferred.

The groundsheet is a few inches smaller than the perimeter of the extension.... I folded the mud flaps in, and there was a good inch of grass between flaps and groundsheet. (Didn't bother us, as it was the cooking area.
Before you go down the carpet route (Sorry, don't know what size you would want, btw) just be aware that the sloping door can let rain in (as can the tent door itself, without the extension, of course). We ended up folding the groundsheet back (away from door) and laying those holey foam interlocking mats down by the door.
I'd say carpet in tent, by all means, but not exactly practical in extension.

PS....
one other thing to consider, is that you still need to guy the front of the tent, which are pegged inside the extension walls (In that inch of grass between mud flaps and groundsheet, in our case!)

Thanks very much for your advice Mucker, its been very usefull in helping me visualise what im doing and what I need. I think I'll go for the interlocking mats as you say. I've read other peoples comments stateing the same problem about wet weather and the front entrance. Im actually combining the icarus 500 extension with a vista 800 (not the dlx version) The vista has the same height front guys as the icarus so I'll just follow your advice and use the space between the mud flaps and groundsheet to pin it.

Getting this combo up at the end of July and pics to follow. Thanks again for your advice.
