Good morning

For all the happy campers who own Vango Monte Verde 900; can you please offer advice as to best way of pitching this beauty.

We took off to local park after we received it yesterday and it took us 2 hours. We did watch the video online but we still failed miserably.

Also, the front entrance, how does that all work with the ground sheet and the doors? The ring for one of the doors was too high to knock down into ground and by that time a police man told us to take it down - whoops.

Attempting another pitch this weekend at a friends house - big enough garden !

Any tips most very welcome.

Thanks in advance.

It looks like a standard tunnel tent with steel poles. Have a look at the Youtube video produced by Gary Cross (he is a contributor to this site), Google Kampa Filey 6 tent or use this URL
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EsmrRyZjYA0

Many people on this site now use this method to set up a tunnel tent.
Good luck

Definitely watch Gary's video and follow his method - it is by far the easiest way of putting up a tunnel tent. We had a nightmare putting our Maritsa 500 up the first time, then we watched Gary's video and it's been plain sailing ever since

Hi, its basically a 4 stage erection!  Once you have laid out the tent peg the 4 corners and place the 'legs' on the ground at each sleeve -  start at the front and insert the roof pole then the legs at the main door front end.  Once thats up loosely attach a guy line to keep it up, the weight of the tent still on the ground will balance it - you can alter it later.  Then more on to 2nd roof pole, legs and erect that one, then 3rd and finally last - put guy in at rear again just for stability and it should then be able to be pegged at front at groundsheet corners.  Move backwards to rear pegging at each pole end making fabric and groundsheet taut as you go. Finally do rest of pegging points and guy lines.  Happy to help if you have any queries - enjoy.
