I had one of these, used it for one night. There was nothing wrong with it but I felt I needed a little more space and so got a typhoon instead. I car camped so didn't walk, but it was fine and easy to put up.

I think it would be great for what you're planning (I also tried one of those single man 'coffin' tents and couldn't live with that!

I have a Tempest 200, nice tent for 1 person, about 2.5kg I think. I have just bought an Alpkit tent, 1.2kg. They are selling them off for £60.00, all is explained on the website. Put it up in the garden looks fine.

http://www.alpkit.com/shop/cart.php?target=product&product_id=16865&category_id=282

Think it will be this one as Alpkit for £60 nearly made me fall off my chair ;-)

That's the one, basically the inner is a bit too big. If you google Alpkit Delta there are several people who have bought one and with a bit of careful pitching it's fine. Some ditch the inner and use as a tarp. The pegs are pretty useless but that's standard on lightweight tents, Alpkit have some much stronger ones for not too much.
