Hi! We have an Outwell Montana 6P and I wondered if anyone knows what other (less expensive) extensions or canopies fit them, please?

Hello,

These days its harder to get "generic" awnings/extensions or canopies as most manufacturers know they can make more money with optional extras. Therefore most tents will have such optional extra's designed for it.

You might get lucky in that another (cheaper) tent awning/extension will fit but you may have to modify it.

We have the Montana 6P (2012) and we did purchase the awning and extension for it. The awning is fine, it was not cheap but it does its job well. The extension is not worth it though, as it really needed to be longer.

Hello.

We have just purchased the front extension for the 6P, for £169.99 inc free delivery, brand new from Outdoor World via the web site.

I agree with the previous message it needs to be longer, However, in a hot climate it will give extra shade, or! keep the rain off the sloping door, enabling you to keep the door open, if hot this allows plenty of air flow, Iam six feet tall and find the side door a bit low, finally dont forget the wind factor!!!! its like having a windbreaker at the front.

The main reason we want the extension is somewhere to keep our outside kitchen unit and cooker without it getting soaked, and giving a bit more space inside.

I nearly bought the Montana 6 extension as it was much cheaper, but realised (after looking at the Outwell site and specs) all the branding and colours would not match, and the windows were not tinted, for the extra money the tent looks like one piece, I suppose you get what you pay for! anyway nothing wrong with trying to look a bit smart on site17  enjoy the summer.
