zig is way better - iv got the outwell concorde L ( inflateable ) - its got a sig - which is thin and flimsy but cannot be unzipped and packed separately to reduce the weight of the main tent bag.
this tent should have had a ZIG like the bear and trout lake tents do ( maybe the wolfs too? ) then it could have been as substantial, strong, removeable for easy cleaning and separate packing so that the main tent bag isnt so big heavy and awkward to move around.
have you considered the Outwell Concorde XL tent? - inflateable but with bedrooms at both ends of the tent? as the boys get older they can sleep at one end and you both in the other.
the concorde XL with the front porch ( 2 kinds available, 1 with a door that can be closed in bad weather, the other open ) would give lots of space for you all.
however saying that, a 2nd hand cabanon is also a very appealing tent too and also fewer around making it a little bit more exclusive. the quality if cabanons is without doubt up with the very best so theres no need to worry about quality issues.
