We are considering the purchase of the above tent and are unsure whether the zig can be zipped in from the outside of the tent. If there are any Awaya owners out there please let me know. Thanks!! Darryl.

Hi osca2002
We have the Biscaya which I presume will be the same and we zip it up from the outside after you have pegged out the ground sheet. If it's like ours make a mark where the zip endings are, it might prevent you from pegging out the wrong way round as we have done twice !
We also use the long handled tent peg pullers to pull the zips which saves bending over.
What is really helpful is a bit of wind coming in the front of the tent, if it lifts up as it sometimes does, you can pop the poles up and zip in within secs, managed 3 trips with this happening what a bonus.
Enjoy ! x
PS depending on how tall/short you are or how long/short your arms are you might need to stand on something to get the zip done up and bedroom pods hooked in at the highpoint.

We have a Biscaya which also has the ZIG. Agree with the comments above from Duffs. Two further tips we have found useful for making zipping up easier.
1) We lubricate the ZIG using a silicon spray which lubricates the ZIP to make it easier to close (use the fine spray to ensure you keep it on the zip and away from the fabric).
2) The zip on the pole zips is quite small but if you thread a shoe lace through the eyelet of the zip it is much easier to close the zip as it gives you a lot more purchase and also makes it easier to reach if you are not tall.

We have the Biscaya 370 "Cotton" version which was kinda replaced by the Awaya 370 apart from the poles which are Steel on the Biscaya and Aluminium on the Awaya.
One of the improvements ovewr the Biscaya that I like about the Awaya is that the Awaya Aluminium poles are 1.5mm thick, the poles on the Biscaya models that use Aluminium are just 1mm in thickness.
Here I am just before I start to zip the canvas onto the ZiG, a couple of beers helps complete the task.
