We have decided we want to get an airbeam sort of tent , we love our vermont xl but find it a bit of a hassle to put up and down for just a 1 or 2 night stay due to the fact that hubby has to put it up himself whilst i watch the kiddos .. so we are thinking an airbeam type effort may be better for us and utlimately quicker to set up meaning we can do more weekend trips instead of just going away once a year .
So we like the look of the vango inifinity 800 , eclipse 600 , exodus 800 evoque 600 etc filey 6 air , possibly the southwold ..or anything else that anyone thinks would be better .
would love to hear anyones thoughts/opinions/recommendations
also if anyone knows where any of these are on display in the midlands would be gratful to know
Thanks in advance

We've just bought an evoque 600 for exactly the same reasons, not used it yet but in the show room it seems a really good tent, we really can't wait to try ours out
Check out the denier of the fabric, go for the 150 denier as they are not that much more than say the 75 denier infinity or Eternity etc. The Evoque is great but the Eclipse is bigger and not much more money. The Filey 6 is a great tent, 150 denier like the Eclipse but watch out for the pack size, its big, really big.

Hi. We have the Vango Airbeam Eternity 600 and we absolutely love it. We bought it at the NEC show in February this year and have used it three times so far. I have done a review in the tent review section if it's any help.

As I said earlier, why not go for the Eclipse 600. As you say I'm sure everyone is out if the Evoque but there are a few Eclipse 600's around but again not many. There only a little bit more and you get a whole bay extra and just as simple to pitch.

Hiya, it's a bit late for you but we've just got 4 Evoque 600s in at Springfield! :)
we had the eclipse, airbeam over side door would not stay inflated and the tent leaked like a sieve when it rained, came in through roof panels, through windows, the doors and through sig... ruined our holiday, did get full refund from shop, apparently he said he had spoke to vango and they have had a couple back with same problem

I have the Exodus 800xl which apart from teething issues is great. I love the eclipse, but with the canopy attached it is over 10 m and a pain to find a pitch large enough.
Just a quick update, we've just come back from our first trip with our evoque, tent was great, as we where right on the sea front in north Wales it got a bit windy coming straight as us from the irish sea on saturday night and rain a bit through the night, couldn't fault it really. It went up well and all fitted back in its bag pretty well.
