Hi all

I have finally settled on the Outwell Oakland XL as our family tent after trying various others. We took it away in June for its first trip and we loved it. However, I really want the side canopy and am struggling to get hold of one.

Does anyone use anything different on the side of their Oakland XL or have any suggestions of what I could use instead?

Great minds I've just come on here to ask the exact same question. I also have the Outwell XL (2012) and love it, easy to put up and plenty of room for me hubby and two kids. However I would also like the side extension to be able to cook in (been lucky this year with the weather and not needed it but I'm sure the time will come) but like ilovents29 cannot fine one anywhere. I've looked at the front extension but it would be too big for our needs.

I would also be grateful for any ideas of alternatives.

Update.... we bought the Monterey 5 side extension in the end as it has exactly the same dimensions as the Oakland XL extension. It fitted well and we were very pleased with it.
