Hi,

I want/need a shorter/smaller tent. I love my tent but if I go to Skye or somewhere where it's quite exposed, it's going to be quite difficult to put up a 5 man tent by myself, like if it's windy.

I've look at lots but the Vango's don't really take my fancy apart from the Halo but I'm not really sure.

When I went to Skye in the summer there were Vaude Terraquattro tents, and I've been looking at those and the Terratrio and they seem like good tents but there's not a lot of reviews online just a couple on the cotswold shop site. Anyone know anything about these and whether they're any good?

Or have other recommendations? Tops £300 and good quality because I'd like it to stand up to bad weather reasonably well.

I love my Halo. I have the 200 (2 man) version and the Ten Tors teams I work with use the 300's, both cope admirably on Dartmoor where it gets proper windy!

Another vote for the Halo which gives good usable space. The 300 is a good option if car camping.
Summitsonline on ebay are selling it for £129 delivered..bargain!

I saw one of these tents when we were camping near Campbeltown last year. It was a German couple who owned it and we got talking and they let us have a good look.
Very futuristic but smart..wouldn't like trying to find a puncture..thats a great price on your link..

i bought one last week, well pleased with it, cost me £270 from Blacks inc pump and delivery.

That cave thing looks pure weird, pretty cool though.

I went into Cotswolds on Friday and bought the Vaude Terratrio 3P. I put it up in the lounge, it took 5 minutes to put up. It's been chucking it down since Friday and haven't been able to pitch it properly in the garden but it's a lovely tent so far. :)
