at hejc72! - thanks for the tip on this one! - its you that made me goto Go and scrutinize this model.
its your fault hejc72 that i now have another tent! - you made me look and i liked what you showed me!!! lol
i think the 400 is about 15cm taller than the 300 model - not much but its way tall enough to crawl into / out of bed in, sit comfortably with one of my blow up chairs in.
the 400 pack size is only fractionally bigger than the 300 but it gives quite a bit more internal width to store bits and pieces and to stretch out in if the weathers not great to be outside.
anyways, i couldnt resist, i HAD to get it up today ... so on my bed it went up!!!
its really great!
a sewn in groundsheet all the way around.
( this one i got is the older 2012 model.
the newer 2013 models have a clip in groundsheet at the front which is not completely sealed or sewn in, bugs, water, draughts can still get in - what a backwards step that is!!! )
the porch area is too small to sit in i think unless you ve got a tiny kiddie size chair. but its great for storing all your bits and pieces you might need for the eve, stove, plate, food, drink etc. and you could easilt cook in there or make a coffee etc.
clothes can be stored in the enormous sleeping area.
is it just me ... or how is it that im more over the moon with this " little bargain tent " than i am with my Outwell Concorde L????
much as i like my concorde on the whole ( theres a few bits im not thrilled about it ) i was never this excited about it as i am this little 49.95 vango lol.
my favourite tent for me camping on my own up until now has been my Trout Lake 4. but its still quite a bit of work to put up on my own, but once its up its a lovely quiet place to be. however from arriving on site to sitting down with a beer - the trout lake is easily and hour or an hour and a half ish for me to get it set up as i like it.
the concorde about the same.
my Kampa Minnis is up in about 30 mins.
im hoping this gets this all down to about 15 mins lol.
anyways - heres my new little tent - sorry about the library pics but it only arrived today and i didnt really wanna take pics of it in my bedroom lol.
