We're really pleased with ours, it helps to attach a guy line to one of the corners to make it easier to pull over the tent, but I'm on 5'2" so anything that helps is great
We use a georgia 7p front awning in the front of our vermont xlp & it fits fine with the roof protector on, there are some pics in the vermont xlp & georgia 7p awning review sections.
It took us 10 mins to put on, you use the guys to align it on. It makes the tent cooler and darker. Just a shame you can't use it if you have awning/extension on.
After 2 days of uses I can report that it dose keep the tent much cooler a bit like sitting under a sun shade. I would say it's not really reversible as the velcro is only on one side. We used a bungee strap to pull it over the tent as we could not both hold a corner and pulled it over and only used the guy at the rear and just cable tied the front one to the one on the tent. It makes the tent much darker we now have to open the curtains in the day. It feels more like a polly cotton tent now light level and temperature.
Definite glad we got it just being able to go in the tent in the day makes it worthwhile.
Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
We have found another benefit of the roof protector. As it stops the sun light shining though the roof we now get no fly trapped in the porch. Before the roof was covered in them by the evening making it a bit grim to be in the porch and you had to keep the doors to the main part closed all the time to stop them going in.
