Hi, I'm new to the forum so not sure if this is in the correct place.
I go camping often and i've had a couple of tents, however next year I am going to Glastonbury and require something much smaller and easier to transport that usual.
I know what specs I want but after hours and hours of searching i'm at a dead end as to what tent I am looking for!
My tent needs to be a good brand, it needs to have a sewn in groundsheet, a porch and seperate bedroom and weigh less than 10kg. The Vango Icarus 300 matches all these things but as it has been discontinued i'm struggling to find one, Ebay included.
Does anyone know of a tent similar to this one that matches all the specs I need?
Any help would be very much appreciated :)
PS. I'm aware taking a good tent to festival may not be the best idea however this will be my home for almost a week and im prepared to take the risk it may not come home with me :)
Thanks
Gemma

Easycamp eclipse 300 ? 4.4 kilos but less head height than the vango. Also, the porch doesnt have a Sig but bedroom does.
Frankly, I wouldn't get an expensive branded tent for a festival.
------------- Hypercamp Alaska
Vango Force 10 mk3
Vango F10 Helium 1
Coleman Cobra Pro 3
Coleman Cobra 2
Naturehike Star River 2
Eureka! Solitaire
Dutch army goretex bivvy bag
If you are going to Glastonbury you will need a tent that floats...those new air tents that you pump up may fit the bill
Seriously, as previously stated, I wouldn't buy an expensive tent for Glastonbury because no matter how hard you try it is likely to be a bit of a mess by the end of the trip (pun not intended).
If you want something half decent though, for a week's stay, I would suggest second hand off ebay. Think about a small porch for the muddy boots and maybe standing height unless you want to spend a week on hands and knees. Weight is also important if you need to carry it (as no doubt you will).
Something like a Peakland Denby 500 would suit (check out the tent reviews) but unfortunately no longer made and I recently sold mine.
Not a lot of help re make and model but hopefully some use re design. You could always wait until after the festival as I understand hundreds of tents are abandoned...then grab one and go next year

We went to the Download festival a couple of years ago with the Sunncamp Evolution 300. I think it matches the spec you are after? http://www.sunncamp.co.uk/products/show/882
