I think bedroom layout is so personal but the 4+2 when you can make it a 2+2+2 suits the most people which is why manufactures are using this layout the most. Of course there are people who like two large inners more.
But surely these are family tents and designed for 4 people - ie 2 adults and 2 kids - Unless these are being bought by couples or couples with 1 child I dont see how these work - 1 of the Bedrooms in the 2+2+2 layouts is just not big enough for 2 peeps?

I have a Yellowstone falls and we can pitch it in 45 mins. I wouldn't pitch it for 2 nights but would for longer. The pole sleeves have got easier with time. Time consuming is putting the zig in and out, but I just don't see a way to leave it in and manage the weight of it. Same with the wolf. The wolf is a bit easier due to the pole sleeves, but the falls when up are rock solid. Yes the falls could do with a rain safe door, but it is a very versatile tent.

As I said bedroom layout is a personal think. With younger kids or kids of the same sex a 3+3 works well. We have older kids and a boy and a girl so a 2+2+2 works for us, even better a 4+2 were the four can split into 2+2 will work well when my son stops coming with us.
