I would love the Nimbus 8 - appears almost identical to the Vango Infinity/Exodus 800 (and my Tigris 800), however would like to read some reviews from the brave first buyers first

I wonder what the benefit of the small two person inflatable tent is (the stratus 250).

Two thin fibreglass or alloy poles probably weigh the same as the beam, won't get punctures, don't need a pump and are simple cheap and quick to repair...

Interesting, mind you anyone buying a hi gear ent off go outdoors without the inevitable 50% off would be brave.

765.00 for a Hi Gear tent?

erm im not sure about that! at 382.50 its still a lot of money but more palateable - still a lot for a budget brand though.

i see the h/h is 6000mm for the flysheet which is very good so perhaps the quality is on the up but so is the price!

Must agree with hankampa pricing themselves within vango airbeam prices is a risky strategy so the quality needs to be very good

I guess the will have to be up there in quality if they want to compete, as mentioned it is 6000 HH, however this may not really reflect the quality of the material.

If you look for an 8 berth or nearest in any configuration and with the 3 main attainable inflatable brands.

Vango Exodus V 800 - £950
Kampa Southwold 8 - £1000.00
Outwell Hornet XL 6 berth £1400.00

The Hi Gear is 20% cheaper than the Vango, 24% cheaper than the Kampa and 45% cheaper than the Outwell.

So when they are reduced by 50 -75% on one of their WOW Amazing deals you can see the considerable margin.

It will depend if you have the same ownership enjoyment benefits as the above brands.

i definitely would need to see the quality 1st hand and ask users personal opinions once they have used them.

i wonder how the groundsheet fares as iv never been happy with the groundsheet in my outwell concorde L - a 5000mm h/h thin affair which lets water into the tent if its pooling underneath - something which does not happen on my bear lake and trout lake tents with their thick plastic-like groundsheets.

its still a lot of money for a Hi-Gear tent - you'd need to really want the inflateable feature to pay this kind of money for a HiGear - id rather buy a good quality poled tent if that was my budget and a cotton / polycotton would be within that price range especially a used one.

I think you may have a leaking sig there. All the tents weve owned, and thats quite a few, have all had the thinner Polyethylene sigs and non of them have ever leaked even when there been loads of ground water about.

Take a look at the Sunncamp Sapphire 1000 plus (new 150 denier fabric for 2014), very similar to the Go one but less money, simple tent but gets you into the inflatable market. Also the Sunncamp Breton 500 air is great value. The Go ones look good (DESIGN AND COLOURS)and are a 150 denier fabric so that's good. If I was spending this amount or more I would want a fabric that lasts so look out for inflatables with a 150 denier or poly cotton.
as for very small inflatables, I just don't get it, unless they were £100.
