Hi all,

I would just like a bit of help with my tent. We have the Outwell Minnesota 4 which I know is now discontinued but we love it. We now have the addition of a tiny new person so will be changing from couples to family camping this year and I think we will really need the addition of an extension. Does anyone know if any of the other extensions are compatilble with our tent as I can't seem to find a clear answer.

not off hand - best measure dimensions of your tent then look at lots of extensions and check measurements.A lot depends on how snug a fit and what you want it for. we have opposite issue - have a monty 6p plus extension and looking to but a smaller w/end tent which could be used with the monty extension, purely for cooking and a bit of weather protection.

Your main problem is the old Minnesota 4 had a dedicated extension as did its successor the Wyoming 4 so owners had no need to look for another extension as the Wyoming/Minnesota fitted.

As intent has mentioned look for a tent with similar dimension to yours for an exceptable fit. Try to avoid anything too big as you end up with excess fabric and large gaps. Weve seen quite a few badly fitting extensions disappear across the campsite when the wind got up as they acted like a kite

We had a Minnesota 6 and someone said the Monatana 6 extension would fit it, so it sounds like it's similar with the 4. I think someone says so in the tent reviews for the Minnesota 6.
