I'm looking for either a Vango Juno 500 or failing that a decent alternative of similar spec.
I know they have been discontinued so I've been scouring ebay for one. Unfortunately the ones that do crop up on there tend to be "pick up only" and are miles away from where I live!
The reason why I am after this particular model is because we need a lightweight tent(5kg at most) that you can stand up in. We do a lot of music festivals so the tent we are looking for needs to be not too pricey, has to have a SIG and needs to be of smallish pack size for easy transportation on public transport (we actually fly to one festival)!
It needs to be big enough for two adults plus our gear (SIMs, beer, etc.)
Any suggestions, you clever people?

I am about to sell my Vango Green Tee 500 DLX which may be suitable for you, although it is slightly heavier than you wanted but is still very easy to carry.
The Green Tee is very similar to the Juno 500 but has the added bonus of a front porch area which protects the entrance in poor weather.
I bought it for a festival` but then never actually used it for that - it got its one and only outing on a one night camp out at school!
My OH has told me I have to downsize my tent collection which is why this is one of the tents that will be going.
Thanks for the offer, Helen, but at 7.2kg it is definitely erring on the heavy side. We sometimes fly to festivals and our luggage limit is 20kg each when we do fly!
I'm considering getting a Lichfield Ainsdale or possibly a Lichfield Strathy.
Unless someone else has any other suggestions..?

I have one, sorry not selling - and have used it at a festival and it was quite good. It's definately a fair weather tent, the single skin means condensation can form on the inside and then you daren't touch it, so there's really no standing in it then anyway. It's only suitable for a single person to stand in it too. I now take a Decathlon Base Seconds 4.2 to festivals, it's got carry straps which we can carry on our backs and leave both hands free to pull a trolly etc,, but then I'm not flying.
How about the Gelert Cabana 2. It's 7.35kg but you have the benefit of the double skinned sleeping area to take away moisture and keep it a bit warmer at night. Then you've got a stand up height living space. Amazon have them for £100.
I would love the Vango Juno 800 but the year I got my 500 one the 800 had only just been discontinued. I'd still buy one if I could find it as it's likely more practical for standing upright in. I found the 500 hurt my back because you were always wary of touching the sides.

Yes, I still have the Green Tee tent (I'm great at buying tents, just not so great at selling them!)

Thanks for the quick response Helen - I'm really pleased you haven't sold it yet. I'm keen to buy it, so what sort of price are you thinking of? If you'd rather conduct this sale via email then you can get hold of me via mark at hainge.com
Thanks again,
