Just bought the kampa filey air 6 from outdoor megastore the site says the pump has a gauge and all the other retailers selling this tent say the same in their sales listings however mine arrived with a pump for dhingys and no gauge, Outdoor megastore have queried this with Kampa who say this is the correct pump even though their handbook states a gauge on the pump as it needs to be inflated to a certain psi. Has anyone bought one of these tents recently or does the pump need to have a gauge?
This is the first air tent I have bought it was a lot of money and the pump supplied is cheapo to say the least any help is appreciated guys.

Hi
They used to supply the pump with a gauge but they do not this year. There is no need to used a gauge on the Kampa tents and awnings. You just need to pump the tent up until the tubes feel really hard. I mean so hard you can hardly squash the tube in at all with your fingers.
All the pumps that come with all the brands are ok for the job but for the sake of £10-£15 I would have a spare.

I was in a dilema as to whether to send the tent back or not it cost too much dollar to risk damage.
I was just looking at the bravo pump from your site I have outwell classic airbeds is it any good to blow them up and do I need any different adaptors for the filey.
Its not too good for airbeds as air beds tend to only go to 1 1/2 psi ish so the pump might not cut out etc at that low a psi. As for the tent, check out the video on the pump listing and you will see a Filey being pumped up. Works a treat, no adaptor needed for any brands that I know of apart from Outdoor revolution but I imagine the pump supplied has the adaptor for that brand.

Hi Katie
We have 8 inflatables up now and are waiting on Sunncamp and Outwell for another 11... We have a few poled tents but each day mor are going up. The Outwell inflatables are a little delayed but by the end of the month we should have 19 inflatables on show and then about 20 poled tents.
Cheers for asking...

Ive just been onto your site and bought a bravo pump.
The really annoying thing for me is I only found your website after Id bought my tent and read your posts on here and you were selling it at the same price, I value good customer service and advice so ill have to look you up on the next tent.
we are taking the filey to cornwall at easter and am looking forward to it.
Thanks again
Jonny
