but that's ok. Picked up my bargain Monty 6 today and tried to erect it with my brother, it was really windy and we got this far:
I decided to abandon erection as I hadn't bought along a basket for us to fly over the town in with it.
TBH whilst feeding the roof poles through the sleeves I could tell this wasn't the tent for me, memories of how much rain collects in a SIG whilst trying to erect in the rain came rushing back.
Checked it over quickly and couldn't see any signs of mildew, the only flaw is a small repair on the right side of the front:
We didn't bother trying the front canopy or the windbreak but these are something that can be done at home.
So my question now is how much do I sell it for? I don't know how old it is, how much use it's had or even if it is waterproof. Also I want a quick sale as don't really have the space for it but would like to make a little for my efforts, I still have a spare (BNIB) campingaz chef plus I would like to sell so thinking of selling them as a bundle, is £150 the lot reasonable?

I'm sorry that you didn't get on with the Monty. We love ours and it's kept us dry through hail, lightening and heavy rain. It does take getting into a routine with the OH, but it's worth it for the space you get.

I think I've been spoiled with the quick easy pitching of the Bell tents which has made the monty look a chore, have had a few emails about the monty so hopefully someone will enjoy it soon.

I've just tried replying to your ad but keep getting an error. Don';t know how to PM you (maybe I don't have sufficient privileges?) so have resorted to posting in this thread.
I have only just seen your advert and this thread and know you've had a lot of interest.
If the package is still available - would you please consider giving my daughter and I a chance to have it?
As you can see from the thread I started - our fibreglass poled tent gave up on us and I desperately need a steel poled tent that I can afford.
There isn't a pm option on this forum. I think one of the people who has been emailing me is still interested although distance may change his mind (I'm approx. 20 miles from Cambridge), if he decides not to buy it I'll let you know on your thread
