Got our new Vango Eden 600XL from Attwoolls last week, test pitched on Sunday. I'm not sure its a big issue but found a slight defect in the polycotton near the front door in the roof. This is our first polycotton tent and wondered if this was normal or should we take the tent back. I hosed it down with plenty of water and it didn't leak.

I work at Vango and saw this. It would be best to either get in touch with Attwoolls or contact us directly with additional images to info at amg-group.co.uk so we can take a closer look.
Many thanks,

Does not look too bad, I too was looking closely at the vango 600 but decided against it. The main reason I had never seen one in the flesh and vangos quality has plummeted in the last 10 years.
This should be interesting to see the outcome as I sent them 3 e-mails and never got a single reply. If this is genuine you should feel very privileged. Maybe they are actually trying to raise their quality and customer service back to the way it was.
I emailed the pics to Attwools, taking it back tomorrow, will let you know how I get on. On the plus side, managed to get it back into the bag , sun canopy poles in middle, bit of a squeeze tho.
Got an exchange from Attwoolls, customer service was absolutely superb, new one is test pitched and currently getting weathered and we slept in it over night. Love this tent and thanks again to Attwoolls.
I have had a similar experience with the same tent.
When it was finally delivered I couldn't wait to test pitch it.
So up it went and I must say what a fine looking tent it is. However it had a similar sort of defect on the roof. For the amount of money this tent costs I believe it should be of good quality.
So I contacted Taunton leisure and they quite happily sent out a new one and picked up the defected one.
So today I test pitched the new tent again with high hopes. Sadly again it had the same defect but in two places. Then on further inspection I found a number of really poor quality stitching and pulled threads.
I am really disheartened to tell the truth as this is the second tent and it is in even worse condition than the first.
Vango really need to look at their quality control side of things as they shouldn't be letting tents go out like this especially for this price.
It was to late to call Taunton leisure so I will do it tomorrow and find out what will be done about it.
I have got pictures of all the defects, but I'm a bit unsure on how to put them on here.
Matt.

Weren't they recalled?, unless it's the special edition colours?. I might be barking up the wrong tree though, as it was a few months ago.
