first of all I need to tell that this forum was a great help for me until I now have registered. I am looking for a tent for my family of 2 adults, 3 kids (10j, 7j, 5j) and a French Bulldog (small/10kg). I started to explore tents in the range of 200-400€ and the more I read the forums I crawl up the price ladder... Now my favorite tent would be a Outwell Bahia 7 or the Vermont XLP. I have looked around for alternatives - for less, but had difficulties to find a model or brand which is somehow still a good recommendation.
We want to use the tent for Camp Site use in Germany, France, Italy and for sure England :-)
Today I found a shop which is selling the Outwell tents for a great price. Its the familytentshop.
There I found the Bahia 7 as a package deal with carpet and footprint for 1075.- but they unfortunately do not ship outside UK.
Now I have not found another shop with such conditions which ships to Germany. Maybe someone has some help for me?
Cheers and thanks a lot!!!
Andy

Ich spreche kleine deutsch... but that's about it!
Could you not try and price match with a local store? Or have you tried one of the Dutch firms? Such as De Wit, Vijbuiter, Obelink etc - I'm sure they'd be more likely to ship to Deutschland.
All the best, David.

no problem - I do speak English quite well - no worries :-)
I have not tried the Dutch firms so far - thanks for the names. I will check them out.
Locally in Germany the prices are much higher - the bargain I see from the familyshop is just unbelievable...

Why can't you buy the tent and arrange for your own courier to collect and deliver it?
Most couriers will do this as long as you provide details of what's being collected ie size of boxes and weights plus details for customs
Check out some othe main couriers ie FedEx, DHL etc
I've never thought of that! Living in Denmark, I have a similiar problem - all those wonderful bargains in the UK, and believe me, tent prices in Denmark are even worse than in Germany!

By the way, herzlich willkommen Morphy, and greetings from a fellow (former) German, now Dane.
