I have bought one of these and used twice and am very happy with my purchase. My concern however is with the side doors which we use as main point of entry. The zipper is so tight it feels like we will do damage I'm really not sure if this is the way they are designed or whether it's something I've done wrong in erecting however feel that I have put the tent up correctly. Any advice appreciated.

Are you putting the tent up with the doors open or closed? You could possibly be guying the tent out incorrectly/too tightly which would overstretch the material. Do you have any pictures of your tent pitched?

I'm erecting it with all doors zipped closed.
I may be guying too tight but doubt it as if it's loose the guy lines won't have desired affect.
The instructional video shows the concertinaed tent being pulled tight section by section. I wondered if my problem is here?

Or maybe the pegging point are too tight at the bottom and to the sides of the doors
Are they tight when you unzip the doors or when you are zipping the doors closed
Do the valcro tabs sit together correctly or are these out of line aswel

When you say the bottom I assume you mean where the ground sheet is. I do pull these taught though the poles pull the tent so taught anyway I doubt that the pegs have a dramatic affect.
With regard to the velcro strips thats interesting they do NOT join together but I looked at this and they dont line up anyway even with the tent down?

Maybe a manufacturing fault it would take much to distort the doors as you say
Your closing all the doors before you tension and fully peg out so with the zip problems and the valcro tabs not meeting i would opt for a fault with the tent
Is it still under warranty

We have Zenobie 6, which is same tent and its fine, no problems like you are describing, Love this tent

We had this problem with a vango tent and it turned out to be a manufacturing error.
