Popped to Go Outdoors today to pick up a few odds and ends and had a wander, as you do, around the tent display. I'm very tempted by one of the new inflatable HiGear tents. They seem slightly cheaper than the Vango but not sure now they would compare in terms of quality etc. We are planning a trip to our local camping place over the Easter weekend where I know that they have the Vango on display but I was wondering if anyone had seen both and had any thoughts on how they compare.

I think they compare well - especially the 8 man one for £650. They seem to have massively upped their quality this year - 150D polyester and a good quality storage bag. Good features as well - little to no difference from Outwell and Vango.
I think you could do far worse.

i also saw the HiGear Cirrus 6 tent - reduced to 699.99.
thats the price of the awning for an outwell inflateable!
i looked at the fabric, the quality and size of the tent and have to say for the money it looked really good.
what impressed me most though was the interior space - the head height is just amazing - iv never been in such a tall tent before ( apart from marquees with a circus inside lol )
like others have mentioned, you need a vehicle with space as the pack size is very large - as it seems to be with most inflateables.
for 699.99 i think you could do a lot worse.
the only downside? - i wasnt keen on the colour - that was it - everything else was good.

I have to say that the Cirrus 6 is floating my boat somewhat at the moment . Compared to the Vango Icarus the material is much thicker/stronger, there`s more space inside ( vangos TBS system bugs me as it seems to get in the way when the straps are connected ), its got a door with a porch over the top so that it doesn`t get wet inside when you open the door to go in or out and the colour is great in my opinion.
I might have to tell a pork pie or two to the wife if I end up buying one as the £700 asking price is a serious investment but I`m willing to take that risk
