We have just purchased a Corvus 6+2 and went up to my local site today to pitch just to test it out. Due to high winds it was a bit of a struggle but we did get it up in the end :)
The issue we found was that the wind seemed to push the side of the tent inwards (so far so you felt it was going to come down on you!) It felt as though the fibreglass poles may snap. The Middle pole did end up twisting after about 30 minutes.
We did buy this second hand we are just looking for advise about what can cause this.
I will add photos once I have uploaded them
Thanks in advance for any help x

I have a Corvus 5+2 and had it out in some really very windy conditions with no problems. It's a big tent so will catch the wind. Get some Delta Pegs and use them on the guys - at the very least get them on the broadside into the wind and you'll have no problem.
Alternative double up on guyline pegs and cross them in an X at the guy but I would go with Deltas every time
When it's properly guyed, this shouldn't happen. The guy will keep the pole from twisting, as long as it is tensioned correctly and the peg is in the ground.

I did have it all pegged down put I started to pull it down and thought ..... oh maybe I should take a picture to show people.
The tent does look very well made from what we could see and because it was second hand we weren't sure if maybe the fibreglass poles may need replacing.
But we will defo try the pegs that you suggested and see how we go.
Thank you very much for all your prompt replies! :)
I can't say we've had any issues like this at all with ours and we've had it 4 years now and camped in some very high winds. The problem looks to be with the pole to the right of your door, is it solid and to the same shape and size as the ones to the left of the door. Wondering if that's a pole from another tent that they've used and that's causing your problem - I might be totally wrong of course as just judging from the photo. Can't understand why it would twist like that as ours are solid and upright even when not guyed.
Was it just on the one side or was it the same on both? I'd be tempted to just check that all those ten side poles are the same height/length.
Good luck, hope you get the problem sorted cos it's a great tent.

By the looks of things we have 1 pole that is more of an oval shape at the top!
What we are going to do is get a replacement pitch it without the oval looking one,, if the bottom still is there we are going to use the big delta pegs for the guy ropes
Just saw this again and wondered if you got it sorted?
We've just bought a new Corvus as we loved our old one so much but it got a tear while away in high winds whit week, repaired but still letting rain in. As it had been discontinued jumped at the chance of a brand new 2011 one on ebay.
