We are going to upgrade our Monty 6 2011, although it's in great condition, but I LOVE the wolf lake 7, does anyone own the new model and if so is it really as good as it looks.

Cause' the Vermont tents look super amazing and so far hubby is leaning towards the wolf lake, either way we want a tent that can accommodate me and hubby, but also separate two teenage girls!!!!!!

In my opinion they are both expensive so really want to make the correct choice for us.

Could you not put the girls in their own tents on either side of your tent - is that far apart enough? That way you could get something like the Trout Lake which would be useful for weekend camping and camping on your own when your girls are older ??

The Wolf is polycotton so will last longer, be cooler in summer, warmer in winter, a lot less noisy in the wind and rain and wont condensate so provided the extra expense of the wolf doesnt put you off I would certainly go for that and this is from an ex Vermont owner

We have the WL7 with the awning conversion, this makes it massive ann all fully enclosed! Love the tent and it is rock solid. It just takes a while to set up. We have always had polycotton and love how solid it all looks. But due to set up time and my wife having 10 pins in her ankle which restricts how much help she can be, we are now considering a Karsten inflatable....

Thank you for all your replies, we went and looked at a wolf lake 7 today and its massive and are very tempted, yes it is expensive but hopefully will last. Just a question, has anyone ever had any problems with siting this tent?

Hi

We also have the new Wolfy with the awning conversion. Absolutely fantastic tent, wouldn't swap her for the world. Sooo much space and headroom that you almost forget you are in a tent.

Takes a little longer to pitch, due to the weight and rather a lot of pegging points, so I wouldn't really want to use it as a weekend tent.

Our old regular site was on a rather steep slope, in all the drop from one end of the tent to the other was 1.5m, and she still pitched like a dream. Unfortunately the same could not be said for the tables and units inside the tent but that's a different matter.

If you do go for the Wolfy you may find it harder to find big enough pitches. The tent alone, including guy ropes, takes up 8m x 11m, so you will need a big pitch, however these are becoming more and more common.

Most important thing, enjoy whichever one you decide on, you won't be disappointed.

So excited, excited like a little girl again, yes yes yes we purchased the Wolf Lake 7 today. OMG, cannot believe it, got a great deal from camping world in Horsham so very happy.

And I did check the two places we are booked at and both sites have no problem with the Wolf Lake.

Thanks guys for all your help

You really won't be disappointed.

If you do decide to get the carpet for the living area make sure it is the new, corrected version. Last years batch didn't fit properly as Outwell made a last minute change to the layout but didn't alter the carpets. Ooops!!! All rectified now, Outwell have obviously replaced the incorrect ones, plus Yeomans allowed us to keep the old one as a spare so more than happy.

Have fun with your Wolfy but be warned. You will be inundated with people having a little nosey
